THIS WEEK OF FUN
#1 🎈Fri–Sun, Oct. 2-4 | Kid Pick: Milwaukee Oktoberfest
Milwaukee Oktoberfest takes over the Summerfest grounds all weekend with live German music, authentic German food and beer, and le piece de résistance: A Wiener Dog Beauty Pageant. And kids 10 and under are free all weekend! GO TO EVENT DETAILS
#2 💎 Fri–Sun, Oct. 2-4 | Hidden Gem Pick: The Hollows at Phantom Lake
If your ideal Halloween vibe is more magical pumpkin wonderland and less “guy with chainsaw chasing you through a cornfield,” this is your place. The Hollows takes over the wooded trails and shoreline of Phantom Lake YMCA Camp in Mukwonago with thousands of hand-carved jack-o’-lanterns lighting the way through little fantasy worlds filled with fairy lands, gnome villages, mermaids, witches and more. And Saturday is a special trick-or-treat night! GO TO EVENT DETAILS
#3 🎉Fri–Sun, Oct. 2-4 | Big Energy Pick: Harvest Fair
Harvest Fair takes over Wisconsin State Fair Park drawing in over 80,000 people all weekend with multiple stages of live music, lumberjack shows, pumpkin bowling, make-your-own scarecrows, a farmers market, rides, and plenty of your favorite State Fair food making its fall comeback. GO TO EVENT DETAILS
And this year you have one more reason to go: Lotza will be there! Come find us in the Dairy building serving up specialty fall sodas. And if you sign up here, you’ll get a secret code to unlock a free can of Lotza!
#4 🍻 Saturday, Oct. 3 | Grown-Up Pick: Beet Street
If your idea of fall is less pumpkin patch and more mosh pit, Beet Street is calling. This Cactus Club shuts down its little stretch of Bay View for a free neighborhood block party packed with live music, food and drinks, local makers, and even line dancing. GO TO EVENT DETAILS
#5 💸 Saturday, Oct. 3 | Free Pick: Milwaukee County Zoo Family Free Day
And finally, my favorite four-letter word: FREE. Saturday is Family Free Day at the Milwaukee County Zoo, which means everyone gets free admission. In this economy!? Load up the minivan! GO TO EVENT DETAILS
